RFP No. 23-19 Emergency Generator Replacement at Autopark at Olde City

This opportunity is being issued by the Parking Authority (the “Authority”), a body corporate and politic created under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in accordance with the Act of June 19, 2001, P.L. 287, No. 22, as amended, known as the “Parking Authority Law”.

The Authority is seeking proposals from qualified Offerors to replace and install a new diesel generator at the Autopark at Olde City located at 125 South 2nd Street Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19106 which is located on federal property. Offerors must adhere to all Federal, State and Local building code requirements.

The Autopark Garage at Olde City, located at 125 South 2nd Street, is a 5-level parking facility that was built in 1981. The garage is operational 24 hours a day – 7 days a week, with 615 available parking spaces, with an overall square footage of 220,000 with three tenant spaces.

This opportunity is being issued by the Parking Authority (the “Authority”), a body corporate and politic created under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in accordance with the Act of June 19, 2001, P.L. 287, No. 22, as amended, known as the “Parking Authority Law”.

The Authority intends to engage five prime contractors, General Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection and Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment for the Essington Avenue Expansion.

The expansion of the Philadelphia Parking Authority’s Essington Avenue site: to include an approximate 12,500 SF office expansion for towing and impound services on the North side of the existing facility “Office”; and an approximate 5,500 SF storage and office facility for fleet maintenance operations “Warehouse” on the South side of the facility.

The existing building and additions will be of Non-Separated Mixed Occupancy consisting of Business and Moderate Hazard Storage classifications. The building and additions will be of type 2B construction. An automatic sprinkler system will be provided throughout.

Site work includes a new/modified customer parking and entry layout, re-striping of the entire property, paving, sidewalks, curb, utilities, roof drains, drainage improvements, stormwater management, landscaping and lighting.
