Changes to Philadelphia Parking Meter Rates – Effective July 1, 2025

Beginning Tuesday, July 1, 2025, parking meter rates in Center City will increase to help improve the availability of on-street parking, promote parking turnover, and alleviate congestion in one of Philadelphia’s most heavily congested corridors.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Center City Core (Arch Street to Locust Street, and from 4th Street to 20th Street):
    • The hourly parking rate will change from $3.00 to $4.00 per hour.
  • Center City Area (Spring Garden Street to Bainbridge Street, and from the Schuylkill River to the Delaware River, except the Center City Core):
    • The hourly parking rate will change from $2.50 to $3.50 per hour.
  • Center City Long-term Meters: (4-hour and 12-hour time-limited meter rates will increase from $1.50 to $2.50 per hour. The full list of these locations can be found below:

LONG-TERM METER RATE INCREASES

This marks the first increase in meter parking rates in over 10 years.
