Normal Parking Enforcement & Parking Rates to Resume 2/19/2021

Normal rates will apply at all PPA-operated Center City garages beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, February 19. In order to be eligible for the $5 snow emergency rate, vehicles must enter by tonight at 9 p.m. and exit the facility by 9 a.m. Friday, February 19.

NOTE: To receive the discounted $5 rate, customers must bring their ticket and pay at the PPA Management Office in each garage.

Additionally, the PPA will resume enforcement of all parking regulations including, meters, kiosks, and residential parking time limits at 6:30 a.m. Friday February 19.. All parking safety regulations remain in effect.

ALERT: PPA Announces $5 Garage Rate & Relaxed Enforcement During Snow Emergency

In response to the City’s Snow Emergency, which is set to begin Thursday, February 18 at 6 a.m., the Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) will be offering a flat twenty-four-hour $5 parking rate at the following Center City garages from 6 p.m. Wednesday February 17, until the snow emergency is lifted.

To receive the discounted $5 rate, customers must bring their ticket and pay at the PPA Management Office in each garage.

During the snow emergency, the PPA will enforce all snow emergency and safety violations. Starting at 6 a.m. Thursday, February 18, meters, kiosks and time limit violations on residential blocks will not be enforced until the snow emergency is lifted.

Additionally, beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, February 18, vehicles illegally parked on snow emergency routes will be subject to ticketing and towing. If your vehicle is towed during the snow emergency, please call the city’s snow emergency line at 215-686-SNOW or visit the PPA’s website at www.philapark.org/tow for its location.

Thank You to All PPA Employees

Dear Team,

I want to extend my sincere thanks and best wishes to all PPA employees. This year has been one that we could not have imagined. The COVID-19 pandemic brought uncertainty, devastation, and many hardships to our economy and our families. However, through it all, each of you has remained focused on our mission. I am thankful that we can reflect and be encouraged by the strength of our team.

As we navigate this challenging year, one word describes the PPA staff – resilient.  Individually and collectively, you stood up to the unpredictable trials and challenges. As a result, the PPA family is stronger and better as we provide essential support to the City of Philadelphia during a time of overwhelming challenge. 

Despite the unpredictable challenges we faced this year, there have been multiple bright spots. Through your resilience, teamwork, and unparalleled dedication to our mission, the PPA has received many notable awards and distinctions including:
