Upfront Flex-fare Taxicab Pricing

July 1, 2022, the Authority approved the taxicab tariff to be amended to allow for an upfront flex fare model, outside of the taxicab tariff and meter system, for medallion taxicab trips in Philadelphia that are only initiated through the approved taxicab “Curb” smartphone app.  Such fares are calculated based upon an algorithm of both live and historical trip data, including metered fares, traffic and wait times.   All other rates as outlined in the current taxicab tariff above, shall remain unchanged.  You may download the Authority Order No. 22-001 here: Authority Order 22-001 Upfront Pricing
