11 New Murals Now Adorn the Outside of PPA’s “New” Transportation Center
(PHILADELPHIA) – The Philadelphia Parking Authority announced today that Mural Arts Philadelphia has completed the installation of 11 mural panels on the outside of the new Philadelphia Transportation Center by acclaimed artist Gina Kim, entitled “Philadelphia as Lived Experience.”
This mural series explores Philadelphia through 11 lived experiences:
movement, neighborhoods, culture, and landscape. Each panel reflects a different layer of the city, from everyday rowhome life to iconic places, balancing local identity with what makes Philly recognizable as a whole.
