PPA to Provide Discounted Flat Two Hour $5 Parking Rate for COVID-19 Vaccine Recipients
(PHILADELPHIA) – Philadelphia Parking Authority (PPA) Executive Director Scott Petri announced today that the PPA will be assisting the City of Philadelphia in its on-going effort to vaccinate as many Philadelphians as quickly as possible, by providing a discounted flat $5 parking rate for 2 hours in their Fashion District Garage — located at 10th and Filbert Streets (entrance is on 10th Street) for any person getting vaccinated at the City’s PA Convention Center mass vaccination site beginning Wednesday, March 3, until Wednesday, June 30.
“The PPA will do its part to help defeat this deadly virus. We are glad to be working with the City and their federal partners to provide discounted parking and alleviate an already stressful situation for so many Philadelphians.”
The City and their federal partners will be operating a mass vaccination site at the Convention Center beginning Wednesday, March 3rd. The hours of operation will be seven (7) days a week from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM daily.
All vaccine recipients will be issued a federal vaccine card after receiving their vaccination and will be required to show it as proof of vaccination at the PPA’s Fashion District garage in order to receive the discounted parking rate. Customers must go to the PPA’s garage office before they retrieve their vehicle to get the discounted parking rate.
PPA garage parking rates are consistently lower than private garage operators in center city. The PPA noted that current, monthly Fashion District garage parking patrons will be accommodated during this time.
Additionally, from Wednesday, March 3rd to Thursday, April 1st, the PPA will provide complimentary parking between 7 AM and 9 PM at its three (3) SEPTA regional rail lots referenced below.
