Changes to Residential Parking Permit Program

Effective Sunday, September 1st, 2024, significant changes will take effect to our residential parking permit program.

We highly recommend reviewing the information below before these changes take effect.

RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMITS: Effective Sunday, September 1st, 2024

The cost of Annual Parking Permits is subject to change per City Ordinance Bill #240335 §12-2705, effective Sunday, September 1st, 2024. Due to this update, we cannot process your annual permit until the new pricing takes effect.

There will be an annual $75 flat fee per vehicle per permit. Additionally, there will be a limit of three vehicles per household that may obtain a permit. Motorcycle/Scooter permits will now be $50 annually, not included in the three per household.

We understand that changes in pricing can be concerning, and we want to assure you that this decision was made to improve the overall quality and availability of our services. To ease this transition, we are providing a 30-day grace period for all current

September permit holders. You will have until Monday, September 30th, 2024, to renew your permit without penalty.

TEMPORARY PARKING PERMIT CHANGES: Effective Thursday, August 1st, 2024

In accordance with City Ordinance 240335 § 12-2708, the Philadelphia Parking Authority will be implementing the following updates to our temporary parking permit process:

Temporary Parking Permit Durations and Fees:

The Parking Authority may issue temporary parking permits for the following durations and fees:

One (1) day: $7.00
Fifteen (15) days: $75.00
Thirty (30) days: $150.00
Sixty (60) days: $300.00

Temporary parking permits, valid for one calendar day, will be limited to sixty (60) permits per year per household.

Temporary permits will also be available online at www.philapark.org and in person at our permit office located at 35. N 8th St.
