Return to Work Instructions

Dear Valued Employee,

For over one year, coronavirus has impacted everyone. On March 18, 2020, the Philadelphia Parking Authority closed its offices while the region and nation began to address what would become an international pandemic. A year later, we are reminded of the impact on so many.  I greatly appreciate the strength, fortitude, and commitment demonstrated by our staff that works every day to enforce and manage parking regulations, to operate garages, and to support daily operations and administration. Some are presently coming to the workplace daily; some will return in May; others currently telecommute on a part-time basis.

Safety protocols and vaccinations have provided us with the tools to regain some of the ground lost to COVID. We are transitioning once again as our region continues to address the challenges of coronavirus. We are hopeful as many people are vaccinated, and school children return to the classroom. Beginning Tuesday, June 1, all employees will resume full-time on-site working operations; working from home will end. Please feel free to contact your supervisor should you have any questions. For your HR questions or concerns, please contact Human Resources through Darryl White ([email protected]) or Saraann Hagland ([email protected]).

The Authority maintains a work environment that exceeds the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s standards. Mask requirements, cubicle dividers, and meeting room limitations remain in place. We also continue our aggressive cleaning protocols. We are committed to our employees and respect the need for cooperative and collaborative teamwork as we responsibly work together to maintain a healthy workplace and fulfill our mission to support the City’s economic vitality and transportation needs.

I look forward to seeing you again.

Kind Regards,

Scott Petri
