Amendment to Taxicab Tariff
To All Interested Parties:
The taxicab tariff for Philadelphia permits a flat rate to be charged in lieu of a metered rate for taxicab trips between the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and the “Center City Zone”. On May 31, 2017, pursuant to a petition for a taxicab rate review that was filed with the Taxicab and Limousine Division (TLD), the Philadelphia Parking Authority (Authority) approved an expansion of the boundaries of the “Center City Zone”. Download here Authority Order 17-004 describing the new boundaries, which is effective July 1, 2017: Authority Order 17-004.
The new boundaries for flat rate trips between PHL and the “Center City Zone” are as follows:
“The are between the Schuylkill and Delaware rivers and between Washington Avenue on the south and Fairmount Avenue on the north. West of the Schuylkill river, the northern boundary continues west along the north side of 30th Street Station on 2900 Arch Street, then southward on 30th Street to its intersection with Market Street. The boundary proceeds west along the north side of Market Street to 48th Street, south on 48th Street to Spruce Street and east on Spruce Street to its intersection with South Street.”
In the near future, the TLD will distribute postings for placement in the taxicabs.
