Mark C. Nicastre is the founder of Fitler Square Strategies, a communications firm with a focus on crisis communications, issue advocacy, and strategic communications. Mark led communications for Governor Tom Wolf for nearly eight years, overseeing media relations, digital communications, and marketing for the Governor and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Mark has developed and executed strategic communications plans for elected officials, organizations of all sizes, and state and national issue advocacy campaigns. Before working for Governor Wolf, Mark served as the Communications Director for Senator Bob Casey’s 2012 campaign and now-Senator Ben Ray Lujan’s first Communications Director with his congressional campaign and his congressional office. Mark also served in several communications and strategy roles with the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. Mark has also worked on issue advocacy campaigns with Spitfire Strategies, covering almost every state and a wide range of issues from children’s health insurance to environmental protection. Early in his career, Mark worked for the Mack/Crounse Group (now Deliver Strategies), where he developed political campaign communications for some of the most competitive elections in the country.
