Lemon Hill Temporary Residential Parking Permits 

As Philadelphia prepares to host the FIFA World Cup 26™ Fan Festival at Lemon Hill, the Philadelphia Parking Authority is implementing temporary parking measures to help protect residential access during the tournament.

From Thursday, June 11th, through Sunday, July 19, 2026, temporary residential parking permits will be required at no cost for all vehicles parked on the street within the Lemon Hill area.  The interactive map below highlights the permit zone boundaries and streets where the temporary permits are required.

NOTE: Current permit holders are not exempt. Your vehicle must have a temporary permit to avoid being ticketed and towed.

What Residents Receive:

  • Virtual residential permits linked to approved license plates.
  • Up to two (2) visitor day passes per household.
    • Visitor day pass hangtags can be picked up at the PPA Permit Office at 35 N. 8th Street.
    • Community events will also be scheduled for residents to obtain their permits and visitor day passes.
    • Visitory day passes can be used throughout the duration of the 39-day festival.
  • Protection from festival-related parking overflow on neighborhood streets.
  • Permit access even for households without a vehicle, with proof of residency.

What Businesses Will Receive:

  • Up to ten (10) visitor days passes per business.
    • Visitor day pass hangtags can be picked up at the PPA Permit Office at 35 N. 8th Street.

Thursday, June 11th through Sunday, July 19th.

How to Obtain Your Temporary Permit:

Step 1

Gather Your Documents

Prepare digital copies of your proof of residency and current Pennsylvania vehicle registration for each vehicle that needs a permit.

Complete the Application

Submit your application online using the permit form below, or visit the PPA Permit Office located at 35 N. 8th Street to apply in person.

Step 3

Receive Your Permit Package

Once approved, your license plate will be entered into the system, and your household will receive the two (2) visitor day passes per household included with the program.

  • Proof of Residency: A current lease, utility bill (gas, electric, or cable),
    or a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License reflecting your Lemon Hill address.
  • Vehicle Registration: A current Pennsylvania vehicle registration card for each
    vehicle requiring a permit.

Permit Package Details

  • Virtual Residential Permits: Approved license plates will be registered in the

    tags for guests or service vehicles during the 39-day festival period.
  • No Vehicle? Residents without a vehicle may still receive two (2) visitor day passes
    with proof of residency.

Enforcement and Area Impact

The PPA will increase patrols in Lemon Hill residential areas to help prevent festival traffic from overwhelming neighborhood streets.

  • Only properly permitted vehicles may park on the street within the designated residential zone during the enforcement period.
  • General parking for the Fan Festival is strictly prohibited at Lemon Hill.
  • Fan Festival attendees are being directed to use public transit or rideshare.
