This latest PPA quality of life initiative is a dual public education and on-street enforcement initiative aimed at stopping illegal parking on neighborhood sidewalks, and blocking curb cuts and crosswalks, all of which seriously impedes access and the free movement of people with disabilities. We will be giving residents ample notification of our enforcement component by distributing "steer clear" warning violations starting April 29th. Enhanced enforcement will begin on Monday - May 13, 2024. Our aim is to educate and increase public awareness -- while also changing behavior that adversely impacts the lives of people with physical disabilities.
